Garden Villas North

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the Easter Brunch at Garden Villas North, its always fantastic but I never remember to contact you concerning Gloria Arnold!! Whenever Gloria puts on a special occasion, I always feel like I’m in a 5 star restaurant!! Gloria’s mannerism is outstanding and so professional. I can’t complement on Gloria enough. I just wanted everyone to know how GREAT Gloria is.

Dear Patty & the wonderful Delmar Staff,

We can’t thank you enough for the excellent care everyone gave our Dad over the last few years.  It’s a difficult process transitioning your father from a self-sufficient independent person into an assisted living environment.  The kindness and caring staff at Delmar made it easier!  You all became his surrogate family by looking after him in all ways; cooking, dining (Gloria), bathing, nursing, entertaining    (B-I-N-G-O) and caring for him.  We all felt confident when we visited him and walked out the door, he was left with a kind and caring staff!

Hi Patty,

Just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to give such a thorough tour of your facility today.  Peg was extremely impressed, and I think if Ben ever visits he, too will fall in love with The Villas.  As I told you having mom there is such a tremendous blessing to her, and to me knowing that she is happy.   What a difference living there has made in her life.

As promised, I also wanted to send the link to the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) website so you would have more information about this important offering.  Typically I teach this class once a month at St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center for our staff.  So, if you are ever interested in having your staff attend this training please let me know!

Patti,

I want to let you know about the terrific and compassionate staff you have.  Anytime you have a question they answer it, or need anything they retrieve it, whatever it is.  Receptionists Paula, Jennifer, Kathy and Cheva are so polite and always wear a smile under the mask for everyone, and an ear to listen to you.

Scott, Danny, James and Aaron also have smiles under their masks.  They respond to requests promptly and their work is excellent.  They say hello to residents when they see them and call them by name.  James is a very good driver and delivers service with a smile.

The dining room staff is another excellent group.  They bring you your correct order, ask if you need a drink refill, and if there is anything else you need.  They also assist residents with their chair if needed.  Some of the staff who have helped me are Patrick, Gloria, Tailia, Taylor, and Ahmya.  All are excellent and polite.  Glore has everything together very organized.  She keeps going with a smile and her laughter.  Stephanie works during the day but I have observed her interactions with residents and is also excellent.

Madonna is the housekeeper who cleans my room and is happy, peppy and does a great job.  We both like some of the same music so I find it and play it.  I look forward to Thursday mornings.

Now for Activity Therapy — oh my!  Jodi, Herschel and Gina are excellent and bring so much fun to the activities.  I enjoy all of them…BINGO, Karaoke, exercises, music, etc.

Patty and Lynn you are the captains of this operation and have done an excellent job choosing staff.  The atmosphere at Garden Villas North is one that other facilities should strive to have.  Thank you.  I am so happy we chose to come here.  I am sad that he isn’t here to enjoy it with me.
