Garden Villas (GVOF) is a great place to live.  The entertainment is wonderful.  A caring staff, always there when needed.  The food is delicious.  I would recommend GVOF as a #1 place in this community for your loved one to live.

Just wanted to send a huge “Thank You” for all that you’ve done for our family.  Two years ago you were instrumental  in getting a Medicaid bed for my Mom, Jean, at Delmar Gardens.  She had been discharged from the hospital and could not go back home safely due to her dementia.  We looked at other nursing homes that had Medicaid beds but their facilities could not compare to Delmar Gardens so they were not an option for us.

I was really struggling whether a nursing home was the best option for my mom, having doubts, concerns and feelings of guilt.  We spoke several times and you listened to my concerns and reassured me I was doing the right thing, by placing her in a nursing home and you helped expedite the process.   During this time I could feel your genuine empathy, compassion and concern.  My mom went to various activities, worked on puzzles and the socialization was very good for her.

Jean recently passed and we are very grateful that she was well cared for in her last two years.  This would not have been possible without you!  You are truly in a position where God has gifted you with a heart for seniors and their families.

Thank you so very much for keeping my mom and ALL the residents, safe from the COVID-19 pandemic.

I can’t even begin to imagine everything it takes from each and every one of you in order to make that happen.  In addition to keeping the residents happy, healthy, and safe, you all have yourselves and your own family’s health and safety issues to maintain.  It has to be no easy feat and I don’t think any of us can grasp the magnitude it takes…I know I can’t!

Please extend my heartfelt thanks to the staff and let them know I truly appreciate and I’m deeply grateful for the entire Garden Villas of O’Fallon team!!

Dear Karen, Eddie, Chris & all the staff,

Thank you all so much for your kindness and helpfulness while my sister lived there.  From the time Joann came to assess her, and Eddie came to her home to help me figure out what furniture would fit in her apartment, all of you have consistently and graciously gone above and beyond.

Thank you for your patience and listening every time I called with a dilemma.  Everyone I know has heard me tell how wonderful Garden Villas of O’Fallon and you all are.

No words can truly express how grateful we are for the genuine, sincere and loving support you gave our mom for the past 3 1/2 years.  Some days were more challenging than others, but never did you lose your patience.  As her physical and cognition needs became greater, each of you responded with love, tenderness and compassion.

Although not as important, we always felt the care we received as her family was thoughtful, direct and appropriate – never condescending or abrupt. We consider GVOF staff as friends and companions.  You welcomed us, your calmed us and you supported us.

While we are confident mom will receive excellent care at Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon, a part of our heart and soul will still be at GVOF.  God bless each of you for the timeless work you do each day not just for our mom, but for all of the residents.    We admire your commitment, courage resolve.

Hello,

My name is Carla Clark and my mom lives at Garden Villas of O’Fallon, MO. I wanted to let you know how much Mom and I appreciate and enjoy Janie. Throughout the worst of COVID she was the bright star in Mom’s day during temperature checks and happy hour cart.  She always is positive and has a smile, joke and a laugh to make Mom feel good.  Mom can be feeling depressed and she sees Janie and it brightens her day.

I think you have to have a positive personality and make the residents feel happy.  Mom and I don’t like to complain but we do like to compliment and I wanted to share.

My mom moved to this community a year ago after my dad passed away.  We couldn’t have asked for a better place for her to live.  The facility is beautiful and maintained at a high standard.  The staff is great

and helps out above and beyond.  It’s been a great experience for mom and our family.

Dear Kathy,

Just wanted to take a few minutes of your busy time.  I’m making a long-overdue praise for our Mr. John Daniels, who takes such excellent care of all of us old folks at Garden Villas (of O’Fallon) John always has time to take care of all our needs no matter how mall or large, he’s there.

He left our home of 6 1/2 years in Oklahoma and are blessed to be here. My husband and I were blessed to have 2 great years here before it was necessary to move my husband to the Delmar Gardens nursing home (Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon). John and all the staff are so good to see that I have a way to go next door to see him. John’s good leadership has definitely rubbed off on his employees. He’s always there with a smile and a “hello how are you?” and “can we do anything for you”, and all the employees are great too.

I can’t say enough praise about him. I worked in the business world all my life. People like him are hard to find, his employees are definitely a chip off the block.
