Delmar Gardens Named The Outstanding Building of the YearPosted on January 16, 2019 by Delmar Gardens
St. Louis MO — Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., announced today that Delmar Gardens, which is leased and managed by the firm, has received The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International.
The awards are the highest level of recognition from BOMA, honoring the best of the best in commercial buildings. This is the first international TOBY award for a St. Louis property in 18 years.
Delmar Gardens won in the suburban office park (low rise) category, competing against buildings in five other regions, including entries from Miami, San Diego and Indianapolis. Centrally located on eight acres of green space and common ground, Delmar Gardens includes two 60,000 square feet, three-story Class AA office/medical facilities. Building I contains the corporate offices of Delmar Gardens Enterprises and Morgan Stanley, while Building II is a medical complex housing a surgery center, orthopedic center and a variety of medical offices, including physical therapy, ENT and plastic surgery. The buildings feature décor and amenities that are aesthetically appealing and environmentally friendly.
“The buildings have become a landmark in the community due to their unique design, prominent visibility and accessibility,” says Gabe Grossberg, President and CEO of Delmar Gardens. “As a company, we are honored to have our headquarters in Chesterfield. We’ve established our roots in this community, hosting job fairs, participating in conservation efforts and supporting many cultural and charity events. We are committed to the long-term growth of this region.”
In order to advance to the international competition, finalists have to win the TOBY award on both the local and regional levels first. Regionally, Delmar Gardens competed against buildings from 11 cities including St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Milwaukee and Omaha, NE.
BOMA isn’t the only organization to recognize Delmar Gardens’ excellence. The building design of the office/medical park was also honored with the Chesterfield Signature Garden Award (2009) and the City of Chesterfield Beautification Award Large Commercial (2006-2007).
Delmar Gardens plans to deliver Delmar Gardens III to the market in 2015. This 125,000 square foot, five-story Class AA office/medical building will be LEED-certified and contain a fitness center, dining facilities, and a large open plaza with extensive water features, exterior lounge areas and a commissioned sculpture.
