Care
Like any member of a concerned family, we at Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett know the importance of creating a healthy, loving atmosphere for our residents, staff and guests. This love is most often expressed in the bright and pleasant decor of our private and semi-private rooms, offering a unique freshness and intrinsic sense of quality. Many rooms have private patios affording scenic views of the beautifully landscaped and manicured grounds and courtyards. Our tastefully decorated and elegant dining rooms set the stage for Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett’s outstanding dining.
The physical and emotional well-being of our residents is the paramount feature of our care at Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett. That’s why we retain a Medical Director who is on call around-the-clock, plus a full staff of Registered Nurses, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants. The finest rehabilitative therapy is also available at Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett. Stroke victims, post-operative patients and fracture cases are treated by a team of highly qualified, licensed professionals providing daily physical, speech and occupational therapy.
Whether for a day, a week, a month or longer, the finest staff and facilities are always available to residents for long or short-term care. Unlimited visiting hours offer family and friends the opportunity to visit early or visit late, depending on their schedules. Delmar Gardens welcomes visitors as much as our residents do.
Dear Helen,
Please pass the following message to Valerie, Robin, and the rest of the care team in the Skilled Nursing wing.
Now that my mom is comfortably settled in the Reminiscence unit at sunrise, I wanted to tell you publicly and in writing how grateful I am for the loving support and care we all received from your incredible team. Faced with the challenge of a key piece of diagnostic information not being transmitted to you from mom’s care providers in northern Kentucky, you immediately leapt to our support by mobilizing Assisted Choice and Right At Home, allowing us to ensure mom was cared for while we located suitable permanent care. During the time mom was with you, I was consistently impressed by the quality and devotion of your staff. On behalf of my wife and my mom, we simply cannot thank you enough.
All the very best,
Son of Alicia

Delmar Gardens,
We wanted to express our deep appreciation for the exceptional care and kindness shown, not only to my aunt, but also to my husband and me.
The staff was always quick to respond to her needs, both physical and emotional, and so very attentive to her. Every time we visited we were greeted by smiles and kind words and offered assistance. If an incident occurred we were notified promptly and kept aware of results of procedures.
We’ve all heard the horror stories about nursing homes and were quite reluctant when we knew this was our only option as we could not offer her proper care at home any longer. Your facility has made us do a complete 180 and we’re so pleased she was able to spend her final time with all of you.
Thank you so very much for being there not only for her, but us as well.
Sincerely,
Bob and Nancy

Thank you for everything!

Dear Helen,
Just a note to say: “Thanks” for such a great family picnic. The weather was great, the food was wonderful, the band was outstanding, and the staff and young server went beyond the call of duty. I had a great time and am in awe of a great job well done.
Please extend my thanks to all of the staff at Delmar Gardens.
Much love,
Sandra

When we came to Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett for help, we felt lost and frustrated. Our first contacts were with Valerie, Helen, and Cheryl. They put us at ease and promised to do everything possible to make this an easy transition for mom and for us. They kept their promise!
Mom spent almost two years at Delmar before her passing. During all that time, as she went through minor stages of decline, we could always find her clean, dressed, well fed, and treated with respect and even “love” by all the staff. The activities staff, Robin, Kathy, Armelita were wonderful to Mom and to all the residents. They knew each patient by name, and each one’s personal likes and dislikes. In essence, the atmosphere was much like a family as possible.
The Medical Staff, Marcia, Pun and Tassie were always caring and helpful. When Mom’s roommate with dementia would steal Moms’ candy from her bedside, Marcia offered to keep a small supply in her office, and doled it out to Mom when she wanted some.
Because of the care that our loved one received, Cathy and I will continue to recommend DELMAR to everyone. Thank you for being the kind, professional, and wonderful group that you are!!
May God bless each and every one of you!
Sincerely,
Roger & Cathy

Hi Kelly:
I think Del Mar Rehab cured my Dad – he is almost 100% better!! His experience there has been pleasant in every way and the environment conducive to healing his mind and body. Kudos to everyone there for making this such a pleasant recovery! It’s really amazing because Dad was very sick and hospitalized for 11 days, but he’s no longer coughing, his color is back and he’s eating and walking around! Marcia, the assistant Director, was helpful, responsive and happy to help Dad, said they’re going to discuss his progress and eminent discharge!
Thanks for everything and we’ll see ya on the other side soon:)
Kendrick M.

Dear Marcia,
On behalf of our family, I want to extend our thanks to the Delmar Gardens SNF/LTC family for the warm and wonderful care you provided to our mom during the last months of her life. I especially want to thank you for allowing us to spend some time with her during her final days. We thank you for the patience, kindness, and understanding that you showed Betty, as well as our family, by fulfilling our many requested window visits and responding graciously when we called for updates. Your efficient staff and professional care were noted and appreciated.
As our small way of saying “thank you”, we would like to do something for the whole SNF/LTC unit. With Covid-19 considerations, we thought that the individually packaged “Nothing Bundt Cakes” would be a good option. (They are wonderful if you’ve never had them!) If you could give me a count of all the people involved in your unit, including all positions, we would like to bring our ‘Thank You’ gift to you on Friday morning so the weekend staff will be able to partake as well.
Again, thank you and I’ll place an order as soon as you have a moment to provide the number of staff members.
Kindest regards,
Cassie M.

Good morning Sir/Madam,
My name is Martha and I am an RN/Case Manager for Capstone Hospice in Georgia. I would like to take this time to compliment the leadership at Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett on the outstanding maintenance of the facility. I have frequent many SNFs and Delmar Gardens has consistently been a facility that is clean and well maintained. I attribute this to the leadership and management of Administrator, Marcia Hines. In addition, the staff and care team are professional and go beyond the call of duty, which is a necessity in the ongoing changes in the landscape of health care. I can see this is a priority of the staff and this reflects a culture of excellence.
