Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Delmar Gardens of Overland Park is looking for Certified Medication Aides to join our team. CMA’s must assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the policies, procedures, and practices of this facility, and the requirement of this state. This position will report to Charge Nurse and/or Nursing Administration.

Must possess CMA certification by State of Kansas. Must have good communication skills, is knowledgeable about medications, adverse reactions, and drug interactions. Must have a clear understanding of proper route of administration of each medication given and familiar with accepted medical abbreviations.
