Over four decades of experience has given us a keen knowledge and understanding of our residents’ needs. That’s why our facility includes amenities that allow our residents to continue enjoying activities they have enjoyed their whole life.

Residents can enjoy a sweet treat at Delmar Gardens South’s own 1950s ice cream parlor or play a game of billiards nearby. In the recreation area, residents can enjoy the plants and flowers in our lovely greenhouse, or participate in various crafts and activities. The chapel and private library provide the perfect setting for solitude and counseling. Numerous community organizations and professional entertainers regularly visit to showcase their talent in a variety of enjoyable programs. Non-denominational religious services are available each week. Residents can look their best at Delmar Gardens South’s own beauty/barber salon.

Delmar Gardens South is one of the first nursing centers in the area to incorporate a children’s day care center, providing daily interaction with youngsters of all ages. In addition, our staff of degreed recreational therapists and certified activity therapists take pride in their ability to find new and unique activities for our residents to enjoy. Music therapy, dance and art classes, birthday parties, or field trips to locations including the Art Museum, Fox Theatre, Union Station, baseball games, and state parks are just a few of the ways our residents take part in the grand tradition of Delmar Gardens South.
